श्री जगन्नाथ जगत गुरू आस भगत के आप । नाम लेते ही आपका मिटे कष्ट संताप ॥
śrī jagannātha jagata gurū āsa bhagata ke āpa | nāma lete hī āpakā miṭe kaṣṭa saṃtāpa ||
O Jagannath, Guru of the world, You are the hope of Your devotees; the moment Your name is taken, sorrow and suffering vanish.
मैं अधम हूँ मूढ़ मति पूजा विधि का ना ज्ञान । दोष मेरा ना धरना नाथ मैं हूँ तेरी संतान ॥
maiṃ adhama hū~ mūḍha़ mati pūjā vidhi kā nā jñāna | doṣa merā nā dharanā nātha maiṃ hū~ terī saṃtāna ||
I am lowly and dull of mind, unaware of the proper way to worship; do not hold my faults against me, Lord, for I am Your own child.

जय जगन्नाथ जगत के पालक । भव भय भंजन कष्ट निवारक ॥
jaya jagannātha jagata ke pālaka | bhava bhaya bhaṃjana kaṣṭa nivāraka ||
Victory to Jagannath, Protector of the world, Destroyer of the fear of worldly existence, Remover of all sorrow.
संगी साथी ना जिसका कोई । आसरा उसका बस एक तू ही ॥
saṃgī sāthī nā jisakā koī | āsarā usakā basa eka tū hī ||
For one who has no companion at all, You alone are the sole support.
भगतों के दुख दूर करे तू । संतों के सदा मन में बसे तू ॥
bhagatoṃ ke dukha dūra kare tū | saṃtoṃ ke sadā mana meṃ base tū ||
You remove the sorrows of Your devotees; You always dwell in the hearts of Your saints.
पतित पावन नाम तिहारा । सारे जग में तू इक प्यारा ॥
patita pāvana nāma tihārā | sāre jaga meṃ tū ika pyārā ||
Your name is the purifier of the fallen; in all the world You alone are dear to every heart.
शंख क्षेत्र में धाम है तेरा । पीड़ हरे है नाम तिहारा ॥
śaṃkha kṣetra meṃ dhāma hai terā | pīḍa़ hare hai nāma tihārā ||
Your abode is at Shankhakshetra; Your name alone takes away pain.
सागर तट में नीलगिरि ऊपर । तूने बसा लिया अपना डेरा ॥
sāgara taṭa meṃ nīlagiri ūpara | tūne basā liyā apanā ḍerā ||
On the sea shore, atop Nilachal, You have made Your dwelling place.
जो तेरे रूप को मन में बसाये । चिंता जग की ना उसे सताये ॥
jo tere rūpa ko mana meṃ basāye | ciṃtā jaga kī nā use satāye ||
One who holds Your form in the heart, the worries of the world do not trouble him.
तेरी शरण में जो भी आये । विपदा से तू उसे बचाये ॥
terī śaraṇa meṃ jo bhī āye | vipadā se tū use bacāye ||
Whoever comes to take refuge in You, You save that one from every calamity.
धाम तेरा हर धाम से न्यारा । जिसके बिना तीर्थ अधूरा सारा ॥
dhāma terā hara dhāma se nyārā | jisake binā tīrtha adhūrā sārā ||
Your abode is unlike any other abode; without it, every pilgrimage remains incomplete.
ना हो जब तक तेरे दर्शन । निष्फल जीवन और तीर्थाटन ॥
nā ho jaba taka tere darśana | niṣphala jīvana aura tīrthāṭana ||
Until Your darshan is had, life and pilgrimage remain fruitless.
हाथ पैर नहीं है प्रभु तेरा । फिर भी सबको तेरा सहारा ॥
hātha paira nahīṃ hai prabhu terā | phira bhī sabako terā sahārā ||
You have neither hands nor feet, O Lord, yet You are the support of everyone.
नाथ जगत का तू कहलाता । हर कोई तेरी महिमा गाता ॥
nātha jagata kā tū kahalātā | hara koī terī mahimā gātā ||
You are called the Lord of the world; everyone sings Your glory.
दासी भगत ने साग भात में । रूप तेरा देखा प्रभु ॥
dāsī bhagata ne sāga bhāta meṃ | rūpa terā dekhā prabhu ||
In the maidservant devotee's simple offering of greens and rice, O Lord, she saw Your very form.
श्रीफल लेकर अर्पण करने । पहुँचा तेरे द्वार प्रभु ॥
śrīphala lekara arpaṇa karane | pahu~cā tere dvāra prabhu ||
Taking a coconut to offer, she reached Your door, O Lord.
स्वर्ण थाल में भोजन लाये । भूखे भगत को तृप्त कराया ॥
svarṇa thāla meṃ bhojana lāye | bhūkhe bhagata ko tṛpta karāyā ||
You brought food on a golden plate, and satisfied the hungry devotee.
रथ भी रुक गया भक्त हित में । नाम तेरा जिसने गाया ॥
ratha bhī ruka gayā bhakta hita meṃ | nāma terā jisane gāyā ||
Even Your chariot came to a halt for the sake of a devotee who had sung Your name.
गीत गोविंद अधूरा देखा । रूप कवि का धर आये ॥
gīta goviṃda adhūrā dekhā | rūpa kavi kā dhara āye ||
Seeing the Gita Govinda left unfinished, You took the poet's own form.
प्रेम बंधन में बंधे जगन्नाथ । रचना पूर्ण कर जाये ॥
prema baṃdhana meṃ baṃdhe jagannātha | racanā pūrṇa kara jāye ||
Bound by the bond of love, Jagannath, You came to complete the unfinished composition.
कर्मा बाई की खिचड़ी खाई । प्रेम बिना मोल बिके ॥
karmā bāī kī khicaḍa़ī khāī | prema binā mola bike ||
You ate Karma Bai's simple khichdi; love alone cannot be bought at any price.
जात पात का भेद न माने । सब पर कृपा दृष्टि रखे ॥
jāta pāta kā bheda na māne | saba para kṛpā dṛṣṭi rakhe ||
You do not heed distinctions of caste or creed; You keep a gaze of grace upon everyone.
शंकर देव गुरुनानक कबीरा । सबने महिमा गाई ॥
śaṃkara deva gurunānaka kabīrā | sabane mahimā gāī ||
Shankar Dev, Guru Nanak, and Kabir, all of them sang Your glory.
भक्त जहाँ है तू भी वहाँ है । ऐसी तेरी प्रभुताई ॥
bhakta jahā~ hai tū bhī vahā~ hai | aisī terī prabhutāī ||
Wherever a devotee is, You are there too; such is Your glory as Lord.
रथ पर बैठ दर्शन देने । आते हरषाने मन ॥
ratha para baiṭha darśana dene | āte haraṣāne mana ||
Riding upon Your chariot to grant darshan, You come with a joyous heart.
जय जगन्नाथ प्रेम से बोलो । धन्य करो यह जीवन ॥
jaya jagannātha prema se bolo | dhanya karo yaha jīvana ||
Say "Victory to Jagannath" with love; make this life blessed.

कृष्ण बलराम दोनों ओर बीच सुभद्रा बहन । नीलांचल वासी जगन्नाथ सदा बसो मोरे मन ॥
kṛṣṇa balarāma donoṃ ora bīca subhadrā bahana | nīlāṃcala vāsī jagannātha sadā baso more mana ||
Krishna and Balaram on either side, sister Subhadra in the middle; O Jagannath, dweller of Nilachal, ever abide in my heart.
