doha
नमो नमो जय श्री बुध राजा। करहुं कृपा मोहि जानि कायर अधम का॥
namo namo jaya śrī budha rājā| karahuṃ kṛpā mohi jāni kāyara adhama kā||
I bow again and again in victory to you, O Shri Budh Raja; knowing me weak and lowly, grant me your grace.
करहुं कृपा कृपानिधि बुध सदा सहाय। रोग दोष दुख हरो अनाथ के नाथ॥
karahuṃ kṛpā kṛpānidhi budha sadā sahāya| roga doṣa dukha haro anātha ke nātha||
O treasure of compassion, ever my helper, be gracious, O Budh; remove disease, fault and sorrow, O Lord of the helpless.

जयति जयति बुध देव दयाला। सदा करत जो सुकृत प्रतिपाला॥
jayati jayati budha deva dayālā| sadā karata jo sukṛta pratipālā||
Victory, victory to compassionate Budh Dev, who ever nurtures and protects good deeds.
जटा मुकुट सिर शोभित भारी। त्रिपुण्ड चंदन रेखा प्यारी॥
jaṭā mukuṭa sira śobhita bhārī| tripuṇḍa caṃdana rekhā pyārī||
Matted locks crowned upon your head shine gloriously; the lovely tripundra lines of sandal-paste adorn your brow.
गरल कनठ सर्प जग माला। नाग कंकन कर मंडित भाला॥
garala kanaṭha sarpa jaga mālā| nāga kaṃkana kara maṃḍita bhālā||
Poison at your throat and a garland of serpents around your neck; a serpent bracelet adorns your arm, and a spear rests in your hand.
ब्रह्म रूप वर शुभ्र सरीरा। करत सदा जन कल्याण अधीरा॥
brahma rūpa vara śubhra sarīrā| karata sadā jana kalyāṇa adhīrā||
Your form is like Brahma's, your body pure and radiant white; ever restless, you work for the welfare of your devotees.
श्वेत कमल आसन मन भावा। संत करत सदा मंगल ध्यावा॥
śveta kamala āsana mana bhāvā| saṃta karata sadā maṃgala dhyāvā||
Seated upon a white lotus, pleasing to the mind, the saints ever meditate on you with auspicious devotion.
कुंजल बिराजत छवि नयनी। अति मनोहर मंगल गुन खानी॥
kuṃjala birājata chavi nayanī| ati manohara maṃgala guna khānī||
The grace of your eyes is as charming as Kunjal's; you are most enchanting, a treasury of auspicious virtues.
काटत पातक पंक भरारा। बुध ग्रह दुष्ट नरक सँसारा॥
kāṭata pātaka paṃka bharārā| budha graha duṣṭa naraka sa~sārā||
You cut through the deep mire of sin; O Budh Graha, you free your devotees from the wicked hell of worldly bondage.
सुख सृखावत सब फल साता। रोग दोष संकट हरण विधाता॥
sukha sṛkhāvata saba phala sātā| roga doṣa saṃkaṭa haraṇa vidhātā||
You bestow happiness and every fruit of comfort; you are the ordainer who removes disease, faults and troubles.
बुध की महिमा अपरंपारा। किया जानि मनुज दुख निवारा॥
budha kī mahimā aparaṃpārā| kiyā jāni manuja dukha nivārā||
The glory of Budh is boundless; knowing it, mortals find their sorrows removed.
लाख के वचन धरत दर साता। रोग हरण बुध दया विहाता॥
lākha ke vacana dharata dara sātā| roga haraṇa budha dayā vihātā||
Even a million words cannot measure the comfort you grant; through Budh's compassion, disease is destroyed.
ग्रह अनिष्ट जो नर पर छाए। रोग दोष भय मिटै नहिं जाऐ॥
graha aniṣṭa jo nara para chāe| roga doṣa bhaya miṭai nahiṃ jāai||
When an inauspicious planetary influence falls upon a person, disease, fault and fear do not easily depart.
तिन्ह पर बुद्ध अनुग्रह होई। काटि दै सब संकट मोहे॥
tinha para buddha anugraha hoī| kāṭi dai saba saṃkaṭa mohe||
But when Budh's grace falls upon them, all their troubles are cut away and dispelled.
जनम जनम के पातक भारी। काटि दै सब बुध मति तारी॥
janama janama ke pātaka bhārī| kāṭi dai saba budha mati tārī||
The heavy sins accumulated across many births, Budh cuts them all away and ferries the mind to safety.
सुर नर मुनि नित्य गुण गावे। यश गावत बुध सुख पावे॥
sura nara muni nitya guṇa gāve| yaśa gāvata budha sukha pāve||
Gods, men and sages ever sing your virtues; singing Budh's glory, they attain happiness.
रोग दोष संकट सब हारी। धरहुं धीर बुध हरहु पाप भारी॥
roga doṣa saṃkaṭa saba hārī| dharahuṃ dhīra budha harahu pāpa bhārī||
You remove all disease, fault and trouble; grant us courage, O Budh, and take away our heavy sins.
नित नव मंगल करत सवारी। रोग दोष बुध हरहु भारी॥
nita nava maṃgala karata savārī| roga doṣa budha harahu bhārī||
Ever bringing new auspiciousness on your journey, O Budh, remove our great afflictions of disease and fault.
अधम कायर मतिहीन हमारा। करहुं कृपा बुध हरो दुख सारा॥
adhama kāyara matihīna hamārā| karahuṃ kṛpā budha haro dukha sārā||
We are lowly, weak and lacking in wisdom; be gracious, O Budh, and remove all our sorrow.
सुख संपत्ति दै करहुं उपाई। जन मन रंजन मंगल लाई॥
sukha saṃpatti dai karahuṃ upāī| jana mana raṃjana maṃgala lāī||
Grant us happiness and prosperity, devise the means for our good; delight the hearts of your devotees by bringing auspiciousness.
बुध सुधी सील रूप सुहावा। संत ध्यावत मंगल भावा॥
budha sudhī sīla rūpa suhāvā| saṃta dhyāvata maṃgala bhāvā||
Budh is wise, gentle in nature, and pleasing in form; saints meditate upon your auspicious presence.
विनय करौं बुध देव तुम्हारी। संकट हरो हे पातक भारी॥
vinaya karauṃ budha deva tumhārī| saṃkaṭa haro he pātaka bhārī||
I offer my humble prayer to you, O Budh Dev; remove my troubles and my heavy sins.
अधम कायर सुबुद्धि सुधारा। करहुं कृपा हरो दुख सारा॥
adhama kāyara subuddhi sudhārā| karahuṃ kṛpā haro dukha sārā||
Reform the lowly and weak with good wisdom; be gracious and remove all our sorrow.
महा संकट में तिन्हें उबारो। अधम कायर सुबुद्धि सुधारो॥
mahā saṃkaṭa meṃ tinheṃ ubāro| adhama kāyara subuddhi sudhāro||
Rescue them from great calamity; grant the lowly and weak good wisdom.
हरहुं पाप बुध महा विधाता। सुर नर मुनि सदा शुभ गाता॥
harahuṃ pāpa budha mahā vidhātā| sura nara muni sadā śubha gātā||
Even Shesha, speech and the Vedas cannot reach Your limit; yogis, ascetics and sages fix their meditation upon You.
बुध की महिमा अपार पावे। अधम कायर सब संकट हरे॥
budha kī mahimā apāra pāve| adhama kāyara saba saṃkaṭa hare||
Whoever attains the boundless glory of Budh, all their troubles, even those of the lowly and weak, are removed.
जयति जयति बुध देव सहाय। कृपा करहुं हरहुं सब भय॥
jayati jayati budha deva sahāya| kṛpā karahuṃ harahuṃ saba bhaya||
Victory, victory to Budh Dev, our helper; be gracious and remove all fear.
