सुन्दर चीर सुनहरी,माँ धारण कीन्हों।
sundar cheer sunahari, maa dharan keenho
The Mother wears a beautiful golden robe.
हीरा पन्ना दमके,तन श्रृंगार कीन्हों॥
heera panna damke, tan shringar keenho
Diamonds and emeralds gleam, adorning Her form.

गेरू लाल छटा छवि,बदन कमल सोहे।
geru laal chhata chhavi, badan kamal sohe
With a glow of red ochre, Her lotus face shines.
मन्द हंसत करुणामयी,त्रिभुवन मन मोहे॥
mand hansat karunamayi, tribhuvan man mohe
Smiling gently, the compassionate One enchants the hearts of the three worlds.

स्वर्ण सिंहासन बैठी,चंवर ढुरें प्यारे।
swarna sinhasan baithi, chanwar dhuren pyare
Seated on a golden throne, loving attendants wave the sacred whisk over Her.
धूप दीप मधुमेवा,भोग धरें न्यारे॥
dhoop deep madhumewa, bhog dharen nyare
Incense, lamps, sweets and dried fruit, rare offerings, are set before Her.

गुड़ अरु चना परमप्रिय,तामे संतोष कियो।
gud aru chana param-priya, taame santosh kiyo
Jaggery and gram are most dear to Her; in these She found contentment.
सन्तोषी कहलाई,भक्तन वैभव दियो॥
santoshi kahalai, bhaktan vaibhav diyo
So She came to be called Santoshi, and gave Her devotees abundance.

शुक्रवार प्रिय मानत,आज दिवस सोही।
shukravaar priya maanat, aaj divas sohi
Friday is held dear to Her, and today is that very day.

bhakt mandali chhai, katha sunat mohi
The gathering of devotees has assembled, enchanted as they hear the sacred story.

मन्दिर जगमग ज्योति,मंगल ध्वनि छाई।
mandir jagmag jyoti, mangal dhwani chhai

विनय करें हम बालक,चरनन सिर नाई॥
vinay karen ham baalak, charanan sir naai
We, Your children, bow our heads at Your feet and make our plea.

भक्ति भावमय पूजा,अंगीकृत कीजै।
bhakti bhavmay pooja, angikrit keeje

jo man basai hamare, ichchha phal deeje
Dwell in our hearts, and grant us the fruit of our wish.

दुखी दरिद्री, रोग,संकट मुक्त किये।
dukhi daridri, rog, sankat mukt kiye
You free the sorrowful, the destitute, the sick and the distressed.
बहु धन-धान्य भरे घर,सुख सौभाग्य दिये॥
bahu dhan-dhaanya bhare ghar, sukh saubhagya diye
You fill homes with wealth and grain, and grant happiness and good fortune.

ध्यान धर्यो जिस जन ने,मनवांछित फल पायो।
dhyaan dharyo jis jan ne, manvaanchhit phal paayo
Whoever held Her in meditation received the fruit their heart desired.
पूजा कथा श्रवण कर,घर आनन्द आयो॥
pooja katha shravan kar, ghar aanand aayo
By performing the worship and hearing the story, joy came into the home.

शरण गहे की लज्जा,राखियो जगदम्बे।
sharan gahe ki lajja, raakhiyo jagadambe

sankat tu hi nivaare, dayaamayi ambe
You alone dispel misfortune, O merciful Mother.

riddhi-siddhi, sukh-sampatti, ji bharkar paave
