verse 1

ഹരിവരാസനം വിശ്വമോഹനം

harivarasanam vishwamohanam

Seated upon the noble throne of Hari, enchanter of all the universe,

ഹരിദധീശ്വരം ആരാധ്യപാദുകം

haridadheeshwaram aaradhya-padukam

Supreme Lord of the quarters of the sky, whose sandals are worthy of worship,

അരി വിമര്‍ദ്ദനം നിത്യ നര്‍ത്തനം

arivimardanam nitya-nartanam

Crusher of foes, whose dance never ceases,

ഹരിഹരാത്മജം ദേവമാശ്രയേ

hariharatmajam devam-aashraye

in that God, the son of Hari and Hara, I take refuge.

verse 2

ശരണ കീര്‍ത്തനം ഭക്തമാനസം

sharana-keertanam bhakta-manasam

Praised by the chant of surrender, dwelling in the minds of His devotees,

ഭരണലോലുപം നര്‍ത്തനാലസം

bharana-lolupam nartana-lasam

Eager to protect His own, languid and graceful in the dance,

അരുണഭാസുരം ഭൂതനായകം

aruna-bhaasuram bhoota-naayakam

Radiant as the red dawn, lord of all beings,

ഹരിഹരാത്മജം ദേവമാശ്രയേ

hariharatmajam devam-aashraye

in that God, the son of Hari and Hara, I take refuge.

verse 3

പ്രണയസത്യകം പ്രാണനായകം

pranaya-satyakam praana-naayakam

True in His love, Lord of the very breath of life,

പ്രണതകല്‍പകം സുപ്രഭാഞ്ചിതം

pranata-kalpakam suprabhaanchitam

The wish-granting tree for all who bow before Him, adorned with radiant light,

പ്രണവ മന്ദിരം കീര്‍ത്തനപ്രിയം

pranava-mandiram keertana-priyam

The living temple of the sacred syllable Om, who loves the songs of praise,

ഹരിഹരാത്മജം ദേവമാശ്രയേ

hariharatmajam devam-aashraye

in that God, the son of Hari and Hara, I take refuge.

verse 4

തുരഗവാഹനം സുന്ദരാനനം

turaga-vaahanam sundara-aananam

Borne upon a horse, of beautiful countenance,

വരഗദായുധം വേദവർണ്ണിതം

varagadaayudham veda-varnitam

Bearing the noble mace as His weapon, celebrated in the Vedas,

ഗുരുകൃപാകരം കീര്‍ത്തനപ്രിയം

guru-kripaakaram keertana-priyam

The wellspring of the guru's grace, who loves the songs of praise,

ഹരിഹരാത്മജം ദേവമാശ്രയേ

hariharatmajam devam-aashraye

in that God, the son of Hari and Hara, I take refuge.

verse 5

ത്രിഭുവനാര്‍ച്ചിതം ദേവതാത്മകം

tribhuvana-architam devata-atmakam

Worshipped throughout the three worlds, the very essence of all divinity,

ത്രിനയനം പ്രഭും ദിവ്യദേശികം

trinayanam prabhum divya-deshikam

The three-eyed Lord, the divine preceptor,

ത്രിദശപൂജിതം ചിന്തിതപ്രദം

tridasha-poojitam chintita-pradam

Worshipped by the gods of heaven, who grants whatever the heart conceives,

ഹരിഹരാത്മജം ദേവമാശ്രയേ

hariharatmajam devam-aashraye

in that God, the son of Hari and Hara, I take refuge.

verse 6

ഭവഭയാവഹം ഭാവുകാവഹം

bhava-bhayaavaham bhaavuka-aavaham

Remover of the fear of worldly existence, bringer of all that is auspicious,

ഭുവനമോഹനം ഭൂതിഭൂഷണം

bhuvana-mohanam bhooti-bhooshanam

Enchanter of all the worlds, adorned with sacred ash,

ധവളവാഹനം ദിവ്യവാരണം

dhavala-vaahanam divya-vaaranam

Borne upon a white mount, the divine elephant,

ഹരിഹരാത്മജം ദേവമാശ്രയേ

hariharatmajam devam-aashraye

in that God, the son of Hari and Hara, I take refuge.

verse 7

കളമൃദുസ്മിതം സുന്ദരാനനം

kala-mridu-smitam sundara-aananam

With a soft and gentle smile, of beautiful countenance,

കളഭകോമളം ഗാത്രമോഹനം

kalabha-komalam gaatra-mohanam

Tender as a young elephant, enchanting in every limb,

കളഭകേസരി വാജിവാഹനം

kalabha-kesari vaaji-vaahanam

A lion among elephants, borne upon a horse,

ഹരിഹരാത്മജം ദേവമാശ്രയേ

hariharatmajam devam-aashraye

in that God, the son of Hari and Hara, I take refuge.

verse 8

ശ്രിതജനപ്രിയം ചിന്തിതപ്രദം

shrita-jana-priyam chintita-pradam

Beloved of all who take refuge in Him, who grants whatever the heart conceives,

ശ്രുതിവിഭൂഷണം സാധുജീവനം

shruti-vibhooshanam saadhu-jeevanam

The ornament of the Vedas, the very life of the virtuous,

ശ്രുതിമനോഹരം ഗീതലാലസം

shruti-manoharam geeta-laalasam

Delightful to the ear, enraptured by sacred song,

ഹരിഹരാത്മജം ദേവമാശ്രയേ

hariharatmajam devam-aashraye

in that God, the son of Hari and Hara, I take refuge.
